The following guides, documents and tools are free for use and have been developed by or identified by CITA to help the Voluntary and Community Sector (VCS) to improve the use of ICT. Click on the title to access the tools.

How to Guides & Documents

CITA has developed a series of "How to" guides aiming to help the VCS to develop their IT maintain complianec and buy IT goods and services. The topics covered include; full cost recovery, IT strategy & policy, website design, inventory and backing up.

These documents are free to download.

 

ICT Strategy Toolkit

ICT Stategy ToolThis tool helps the VCS to develop an IT strategy or plan. It asks you to examine where you are with IT, what you want or need it to do and plan how you might meet those needs.

You need to register for the tool. The tool is free form and the answers are used to populate the final report, therefore answer each question using FULL SENTENCES.

CITA were comissioned by VONNE to produce this tool on behalf of the National ICT Hub.

 

Sub-Regional ICT Champion

CITA host the Sub-Regional ICT Champion role for Tyne & Wear. The role is to work with other infrastructure organisations to both develop ICT and identify potential gaps in provision for front line groups.
